Last week I had a parcel stolen from reception at our new apartment block.
As you can imagine, I wasn’t best pleased.
I had to wait a suspenseful few days for the CCTV footage so we could identify the thief.
The receptionist had an inkling who the perp might be.
My initial reaction was to go and hammer this person’s door down and ask them (politely…) to return it.
Being a mature adult I knew this wasn’t the right solution.
Instead, I remained calm and waited for the police to review the CCTV.
I’m not going to tell you who took the parcel yet.
But I am going to tell you how this relates to losing weight.
Let’s say I’d been losing weight week-on-week and then one week I didn’t lose any.
So I turn to the latest dieting fad because counting calories clearly doesn’t work…
Instead, imagine if I paused for a moment.
And looked back at the previous weeks’ nutrition and training logs.
Identified what things might have caused me to not lose weight.
Made a note of them and corrected them the following week.
Which response to not losing weight sounds like the best solution?
I’m hoping you said the second one.
Yet, I see people quit on something they know works all the time because they’ve not lost weight one week and made a split decision.
Instead of identifying the thing/s holding them back.
If this sounds like you…
Hit pause, identify your pain point and work on that for the week ahead.
Do this each time you hit a roadblock and don’t try and take a new road when you get stuck.
If you need help taking control of your nutrition and you’re ready to lose your next 10 kilos. Reply to this email for more info.

P.S…
It was NOT the neighbour.
But some random opportunist who walked in and saw no one was in reception, grabbed the parcel and bolted.
The police told me there was going to be minimal chance of recovering the parcel or identifying the person who did it.
So if anyone wants to donate me a pair of black Lululemon trousers you can also reply to this email ha.
