Pineapple on Pizza? Yes or no?

Anyone who doesn’t like Pineapple on pizza hasn’t tried it yet.

The reason I bring it up is…

Last weekend me and my partner went out for pizza to celebrate her getting a new job.

We met her brother and his partner for a drink afterwards.

Her brother asked me if I’d seen a video recently doing the rounds on social media.

It’s an Aussie bloke asking someone…

‘If you had the choice of receiving $10 million dollars but you don’t wake up tomorrow or wake up tomorrow, which would you choose?’

Now, I’m not going to give you my answer straight away.

Because while it might seem obvious there are a few things to consider…

With anything in life, you’ve got to consider the cost.

I don’t mean only financial.

Are you going to pay with:

  • Time
  • Effort
  • Money

And what is the cost of staying the same?

For some people they will talk years about doing something and never actually do anything about it.

So they’re paying with time.

You’ve also got to consider the cost they’re paying to stay the same.

I was on a call with a new client last week who told me he was spending £20 per day on takeout.

Imagine how much money this person is now going to save not getting takeout daily.

Then you’ve got people who will pay with effort.

They’ll try and work things out on their own.

They might get there years later.

But it’s going to cost a lot of time, effort and money which they could be investing into other things.

Then you’ve got people who pay with money.

They know that investing their money will allow them to save time and effort.

The reason why I say this is I’ve been in the same predicament myself recently.

I’ve been considering hiring a business mentor.

He’s not cheap.

But, at the moment I’m paying with time and effort because I’m trying to do things on my own.

Whereas, if I paid with money then I’d be saving time and effort.

In the long run, I’ll save money because it’s an investment in my business.

So when I apply this rationale it’s a pretty easy decision for me to sign up with the mentor.

You’ve always got to consider what you’re willing to pay with:

  • Time
  • Effort
  • Money

And consider what is the cost of staying the same?

P.S I would choose waking up the next day over $10 million.
